There is Muravyeva in backup, she should be used.

Russia lost the best player and backline already weak looks now 30 per cent more weak....a top 4 is already good.

She needs to do that, she is being playing for Zvezda so no fitness problem.
Muravieva in attack means zero.
Russia only have one line now,levina,andriushina,postnova...and not a clear
RB here....khmyrova is in the 16 only if trefilov is stupid to put the likes of koroleva, sytnikova ahead.

koroleva,sytnikova,zhilinskayte 2 will make the roster,lol.
I though last euro team would be the worst roster ever but injuries and other problems keep coming.

Poltoratskaya,Bliznova,Kochetova,Polenova out....not too mention Bodnieva

Well the good thing for Russia, they have a easy group only Angola can cause some problems, other games trefilov will rotate 100 per cent the team.

Makeeva, suslina, sytnikova will be the players left out.
Turey will be the only player playing outside of the country.

Portugal is in the euro 2008,finaly!!!!!

I also remember you were reproaching Dronina not long ago. Maybe you can understand later, because you are largely writing nonsenses again.

:( :( :(

This is very sad news. I wish a very quick recovery to her!
I never understood comments like "bad news for Russia, good news for us", I don't think there is anything positive thing to see in such cases. But well, everyone is different... I only can wish a quickest possible recovery to her, no matter if she plays against us or not.

Trefilovs answer when asked about the favourites:
What team is your personal favourite at the WCh in China?
Trefilow: There’s no absolute favourite, as all teams lack constancy. Romania has an experienced team, but they’re not playing solid. Germany is quite good, but no favourite. However, you have to be aware of Korea and China, even teams like Brazil or Angola can go very far in this tournament.

Later on he sais Norway are the huge favourite.
Think I will go for something possitive here - Handball is just a great sport!

But you didn’t mention Olympic winner Norway?
Trefilow: This is a very special story. They have a very good team – and Norway is my biggest personal motivation to continue as a coach.

He didn't say Norway is a huge favourite, but he respects them and knows they are a solid team.

Preparation match, China:

Hungary-China: 30-24 (16-13)

Hungary still needs to get acclimatized, Bódi, Kovacsics, Juhász, Zácsik couldn't play due to illnesses or injuries. Everyone else got a chance to play. So that's a great result, congrats! :) On thursday against Germany!

Group C: be very careful at Tunisia and Japan! In 6 games against Norway, Romania and Hungary they might pull a surprise result. Moreover, it's clear they'll offer a hard fight to these teams.

The definitive rosters have to be announced one day before the tournaments starts. Only provisional rosters are available at IHF-Homepage

Does anybody know anything about the Brazilian squad? (of course except for the news that the Hypo-players won't be there)

Ukrainian WCh roster

Goal:
Natalya Vysotskaya (SMART Kr.Rog)
Irina Gonacharova (ZGIA Zaporozhye)
Viktoriya Timoshenkova (Dinamo Volgograd, RUS)
Tatyana Chukhno (Spartak Kiev)

Field:
Mariya Boklashchuk (Rojasa, ESP)
Viktoriya Borshchenko (SMART Kr.Rog)
Liliya Gorilskaya (SMART Kr.Rog)
Natalya Lyapina (Nalogovyi universitet Irpen)
Yuliya Managarova (SMART Kr.Rog)
Olga Nikolaenko (Bekéscsaba, HUN)
Anastasiya Pidpalova (Oltchim, ROU)
Tatyana Sapronenko (Galichanka Lvov)
Anastasiya Sokol (Elda Prestigio, ESP)
Viktoriya Tsybulenko (SMART Kr.Rog)
Alla Sheyko (Dnepryanka Kherson)
Viktoriya Shklyaruk (IUVENTA Michalovce, SVK)

Poor UKR, Evtushenko has a lot of problems, it's sad  There are few field players due to huge count of injuries, so he had to take 4 GK's :(
Pidpalova is ill, but she should catch the start against Russia.

Yes, you were faster, Andryukha... Thank heavens for Suslina, Muravyeva.
I miss Polina here so much, better 5 wings than 3 pivots I think.

Thorir Hergeirsson was robbed today, and needs to borrow money from the girls :)

"We have talked about giving him some pocket money for soda and magazines" Breivang says. "We'll see if he can behave, and he better be nice" she laughs :)
