SLOVAKIA announced the squad for the home qualification tournament, which will take place in new arena in Michalovce.

GK: Lucia Levická (ŠKP Bratislava), Simona Súlovská (HK DANLOG Partizánske), Lucia Gubíková (Iuventa Michalovce)
Wingers: Selma Blažeková (HK DANLOG Partizánske), Annamária Birkušová, Lucia Dudová (obe HK Štart Trenčín), Katarína Zaškvarová (TJ Záhoran Senica)
Pivots: Katarína Kankulová (HK DANLOG Partizánske), Martina Tulipánová (UDHK Nitra), Dominika Horňáková (Iuventa Michalovce)
Backs: Martina Košíková, Klaudia Michnová (obe HK DANLOG Partizánske), Simona Szarková (HK Slovan Duslo Šaľa), Eva Minarčíková, Iveta Mičiniková (obe MHK Bytča), Sofia Demajová (UDHK Nitra), Patrícia Wollingerová, Michaela Pojezdalová (obe HK Štart Trenčín), Lenka Kvetková, Marianna Rebičová (obe Iuventa Michalovce), Anna Ganzerová (Sokol Poruba/ČR).

Comparing U19 EURO in Hungary last year we can count on both our best gk's in this youth cathegory Súlovská and Gubíková, we have also important backs duo Michnová-Szarková back, and finally also RW Birkušová returns, who threw her stupid teenage excesses over and find a handball field again to develop her big talent.

Some news from othe teams :?: ;)

Okay, this may be a stupid question but I've never watched much youth handball - why is Denmark not there? Don't we have a U20 team? Do we just send them straight to the NT

Last year in Szombathely Montenegro and Slovakia were in the same group and none of them reached the main round. MNE seemed to have a very strong fist line up but no really usable substitutes, but Slovakia was weak (sorry Wbk).
MNE vs. FRA was a thriller which was decided by a great mistake of Dragan Adžić.
Ivana Božović was not only a good player but a very pretty girl as well ;-) I liked Majda Mehmedović, too.

Wbk, is there any information about when and where MNE vs SVK will be played?
In conclusion, I declare that EHF must be destroyed

Why does she play in the second league? You may know her more than I do but I liked her play and I thought she could play in Bundesliga 1.

She still has contract at Bensheim until 2011 ;)
But Bensheim is favourite to promote to Bundesliga this weekend. Would have loved to see her at Leverkusen - I think next year she will have a lot of offers from Bundesligaclubs.

But just keep in mind - Even if she was in the World-Champion-Squad of 2008 she was born 1991. Look at her profile at Bensheim

Good decision, because the hall is new and kinda smaller and can be easily fulled. Turnu-Severin is also small town, about 100.000, not like Brasov where the men's tournament took place and it was kinda empty.

Slovakia - Belarus 25-22 (12:10)

SVK: Gubiková, Leviczká - Demajová, Blažeková 1, Košíková 5/1, Michnová 2, Pojezdálová, Kvetková, Birkušová 2, L. Dudová, E. Minarčíková, Horňáková 3, Szarková 12/5, Wollingerová.
BLR: Asipuk, Klimovič - Jarochava, Korbut 3, Halaukova, Vasilevuskaja 1, Piatrova 3/1, Hrudovik 2, Kalčanka 1, Klimovič, Juškevič, Kocina 1, Smalanohava 7/4, Surovaja 4, Makarava.

Not good game by us. Belarus did not show more than back shooting and pivot play, but we had many problems with them, especially in defence. :? Thanks God Gubíková played very well today, and Szarková was just amazing. =D> Anyway with that todays performance we will be sweety "eaten" by Montenegro [-X
