Unfortunately the MRI brings horrible news for Cristina Zamfir. The official diagnostic is now: collateral ligaments tear, ACL fissure, knee cap fracture with bone and cartilage displacement.

7 Universitatea Cluj players are at the end of their contracts

An entire team is close to leaving Universitatea Cluj this summer. Seven of the players' contracts are ending this summer, but Gheorghe Covaciu promises he will do everything in his power to extend their deals.

"U" Jolidon Cluj has managed to finish 2nd in the national league for the 3rd year straight, but there is a very tough road ahead. No less than 7 players have their deals ending this summer and are undecided if they will continue playing for Cluj or will move elsewhere. "Our first problem is convincing the girls to sign new contracts. For me it would be wonderful if I stayed on as head coach. The biggest, most important transfers would be for our current players to remain in our roster" says head coach, Gheorghe Covaciu.
Among the handballers whose contracts are expiring this summer is also the team captain, Mihaela Ani-Senocico. "A lot of our contracts are ending this summer, but we're hoping to work things out, especially financially and go on. We hope to get a bit more support from our sponsors and gain some new backing because the situation is getting critical and we can't face it anymore. We did what we could this year, we financed ourselves as best as we could, but this cannot go on anymore, we need something more".

Mihaela Senocico's situation will probably be resolved after she returns from attending the Olympic Qualification Tournament in Lyon.

I hope that the victory against Oltchim will help the club in getting more attention (read: money) from the sponsors. "U" Jolidon has a great team and, with a little help, could do more. I don't see how they could compete Oltchim in National League, but who knows? Important is to offer the girls a feeling of stability and give them a chance. Also local authorities should find a way to support somehow the club.

Nope, Covaciu is not the problem here, honestly.
The local community is already pitching in some, they just can't afford to make sports one of the biggest priorities at this point and they have a whole lot of clubs getting funds from the local council and the municipality (only CS Universitatea has about a dozen sports sections that are all either fully or semi-funded by the state).
The win against Oltchim drew some attention, but there's not much you can do with attention only... :)

^ What about the new sport venue in Cluj? I've heard that a company filled a complaint, accusing contractor for not using proper materials, and right now building the hall has been stopped. ](*,)

Yes, construction stopped at 65%. It was supposed to be ready this summer, it will probably be ready next year, not sure though.

^ Can't possible understand it! Construction of the sport venue in Craiova has been stopped few years ago at 80% and the stupid mayor has done nothing to restart the works!! How could possibly support sports if you don't let the public in? New venues --> More attractiveness of handball --> More public --> More money.

HC Zalău will lose 3 players at the end of the season: Mirela Nichita, Nicoleta Molfea and Mariana Cristoaica. There are no definitive destinations for the players yet.

Molfea and especially Nichita are big loses for Zalău. I'm really curios where Nichita will go. I hope that Oltchim don't intend to transfer another goalkeeper.

I understand she wants to move back closer to home. She's born in Tulcea, so it's a long way out. Constanța, if they don't relegate or București would be an option, after spending 10 years in Zalău, it would definitely be a change of pace.

^ Maybe Dunărea Brăila or Oţelul Galaţi? Even closer to her home and even better for her.

Galați maybe, since they could use a good keeper. Brăila is the closest, but I don't think only the geographical criteria applies :) Gabi Dobre and Voicu are doing a pretty decent job there. But first let's see who finishes on the podium, after their last match, we might actually be seeing Nichita playing against a possible future team :)

Corona Brasov-U Jolidon Cluj= 40-27 amazing team of Brasov! Good job for Tarca. From Brasov: Tacalie,Drutu and Balint-Hotea were amazing (8 goals for each girl).

this is the year of Corona. :D Mariana finally built a strong team after some new transfers this summer. U Cluj with financial problems, maybe after the new arena will be ready to attract more sponsors. until then, I am sure Corona would have had bigger chances for a Champions League groups qualification than Universitatea.

Geiger 12
Chintoan 9
Druţu 8
Băbeanu 8
Safta 8
Ţăcălie 7
Hotea 7
Buceschi 6
Cartaş 6

best scorers that I propose to Tadici. :D and Perianu too! it is better that Vizitiu is leaving Vâlcea. all these players are in form. I will cry if Tadici will not make a great team in 1 year and a half. [-o< Dedu with a lot of saves I heard.

remove Tolnai, maybe bring Stanciu instead of Nichita (Ungureanu, Stanciu, Dedu), also remove Brădeanu and Tivadar and add Stanca who is just 31 in this squad and it`s perfect.
