I figured out we can open a new topic about this and I'll start it with the pots for tomorrow's draw:

Pot 1: Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Argentina, England + South Africa (hosts directly to group A)
Pot 2: Australia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, USA, Mexico, Honduras, New Zealand
Pot 3: Algeria, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay
Pot 4: Denmark, France, Greece, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland

Pot 1 includes South Africa as hosts and the top 7 nations according to FIFA rankings. Pots 2-4 were determined considering only geographical criteria.

You can find the draw procedure here.

The draw will begin at 19,00 local time. That means 18,00 CET.

Yes, I know the pots. This geographical rule is a little bit strange, I think the ranking should be more important in here. Now, we can have two groups for example (I know, that ther can't be two teams from one continent in each group, except Europe):
Brazil, Australia, Ivory Coast, France/Denmark/Serbia and South Africa, New Zealand, Chile, Slovakia. It is something wrong in here...

No no no no nooooo!

I wrote on another thread that my favourite teams (and I really like them) are: Australia, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Serbia and at some extent, Portugal.
And what does this draw do for me? It throws Australia, Ghana and Serbia in the same group (along with Germany) and puts Portugal and Cote d'Ivoire (two usual chockers at the big tournaments) with the forever favourite Brazil and the very disciplined and phisically North Korea (actually another team I kind of fancy). Bad, bad draw for me! :(

An OK drawing for Denmark. Both Japan and Cameroon are beatable, but we must certainly not underestimate them and Holland is a team that we know a lot about.

The biggest losers in the history of Romanian sport! But that doesn't mean I should stop watch such a great event, where people are brought together by sport! It's great, competitive, exhilirating, sometimes dramatic and mutu or some other infatuated a****le can't take this away from me.

For some time now, I have actually refused to follow Romanian teams. Except for Urziceni, who are 110% hard work and another 100% Dan Petrescu, the rest of Romanian football is ridiculous and deserves to fell in disgrace and be forgotten!

Heh, so what would you say about Polish football? You had Unirea in CHL, other teams in Europa League. And Poland: terrible performance in World Cup qualifiers, no team in Champions League again (since 1997), no team in EL group stage.
And people who are in charge in Wisła Kraków didn't want to prolong the contract with Dan Petrescu couple of years ago, because they didn't see any perspectives for Wisła with Petrescu as a coach
So - it can be much worse, than in Romania...

@karel

Redemption may come... you'll have a beautiful Euro in 2012 and the team will have time to get ready properly. I hope both you and Ukraine can do it!

I feel with the goalie, since I found myself in a likewise situation some years ago.

Not yet. They need to beat RSA with 3-4 goals, and Ururguay have to be beaten by Mexico with 2-3 goals. I don't think it is really possible, but... this is football.

Congratulations, Wbk. You have eliminated World Champions =D>
I'm quite glad with your success, although you beat us twice in qualifications (well, some people say we beat us ourselves  )
BTW, I think Mucha should have be given a red card yesterday. It is possible, that FIFA will punish him, even if referee didn't do that. It would be a big lack for you, cause Mucha is a very good goalkeeper.

I always knew that Slovakia can win yesterday against Italy.
Slovakia was an unlucky team at the first matches but is a good team.
France and Italy the finalists from 2006 eliminated.
Germania-Anglia A Final Played Too Soon. :D

France and the Maccaronis being out makes this WCh more bearable.
I'm glad my Ghana has qualified, but sad for the Aussies. They showed real quality except for the debacle against Germany :(

Spain and Chile are really entertaining and playing very well the attack. Slovakia and the All Whites have been the nice surprises, while Brazil and Portugal have annoyed everyone yesterday with the refusal to play a game which had virtually no impact on the final table (since they couldn't know how to avoid Spain).

England played like crap until now and they have been unusually talkative, underestimating all their opponents by now. They act like the pre-crowned world champions, but fail to play accordingly.

I will root for the semifinalist coming between Uruguay (classic team) / Ghana / US / Korea (really disciplined).

Anyway, South America with 5/5 in the next round, North America with 2/3, Asia with 2/4; really impressive. This, at the cost of the cocky "traditional" teams being eliminated.
