Dear mester :D

You are most welcome to come to 1. Skopje (hall: Kale) and 2. Ohrid (hall: Biljanini izvori) and to watch live this WC. You won't have any problems booking a hotel in Skopje, because there are too many, but if you would like to come and stay in Ohrid - you must start booking right now because Ohrdi is a famous tourist resort in summer and is always full of tourists, so all hotels are packed, especially in august when the WC will be played.

Group 4:
Belgium - Croatia 21 - 29 ( 9 - 14)
Finland - Norway 29 - 35 ( 9 - 19)

Our first half was just plain awful. We couldn't match Norway's tempo and made a lot bad shots, passes, didn't catch the ball etc. To top it all, Miinalainen-Liljeholm wasn't all that impressive in the goal. There was no fighting spirit. We were, of course, the better team in the second half, but I don't know if that means anything, since the game was decided already in the first. Norway's material didn't seem to have all that great a material behind their opening line.

There isn't much to tell about Croatia's game. They were a much better team than Belgium and could've easily made a bigger difference, I think.

Group 4:
Croatia-Norway 25-22 (11-14)
Finland-Belgium 32-29 (16-15)

Croatia-Norway was the best match I saw during this weekend. Norway had a very impressive opening line-up and managed to pull ahead 3-10. At this moment Croatia woke up and started gaining up. They started defending a lot harder. The decisive moment was when a Croatian defender hit the Norwegian right back really hard on the arm and caused an injury. The replacement was not nearly as impressive, neither in defence nor in offence. Croatia finally found a line-up that worked in the second half and managed to pick the win. They could substitute more than the other teams, which helped them to win the tournament. The Croatian right wing Cupic was named the best player of the tournament.

Finland-Belgium was not a particularly good match. We opened both halves poorly and Belgium could pull ahead. In the second half we finally found a goalkeeper, who could catch some balls. And we probably got some help from the referees, at least the Belgians weren't all that happy with them.

The biggest suprise is that one of the favourites for the title, team Serbia(with Sesum and Nenadic) is out of WCH...for me other suprise is that very good team of Belarus finished only 3rd in the group...

Neither of those, I think. To tell the truth, I can't remember, who it was. Anyway, Croatia won the tournament because their team a lot more depth than the others. For example, Cupic was the only player for them in the top-10 scoring list, when the other teams had at least 3. If we look at the right back position, Norway had the best player, but Croatia had three quality players. When the Norwegian right back got injured, his team suffered a lot.

And the last qualified team is Australia ;)

The match schedule will be officially announced after the draw, which is to be held on 6 May 2007 in cooperation between the IHF, the Macedonian Handball Federation and the Macedonian Organising Committee

So the matches will be played in Skopje and Ohrid if I am correct...
