Viborg was a disappointment. Regarding new signings, I was specially dissatisfied with Sabine P. and Holly L-M. :(
Cleo didn't show much and Lyks is not a great wing imo.
Randers showed some interesting new 3-2-1 defense. Dembele and Aguilar are clear enforcements, but the overall squad seems smaller this season.
I welcome your post with enthusiasm.Image

Well, Viborg has only had 10 or so trainings together + it was only their third match as a team, all because of the Olympics where they had nine players competing. So as a Viborg-supporter yesterdays match is not a worry for me at all.

Then you can say it is the same for Randers - true but their two best players was Dembele and Aguilar, and not because of team-work, but because they are so good as individual players. Viborg needs to rely more on team work, and that will take some time to develop.

So patience will be needed. Problem is, that there is only four weeks until the CL qualification tournament, and with Kurtovic gone (bollocks!!!), that may come a bit too soon for them. Fingers crosses that Bera Bera and Gdynia aren't good enough to capitalise on that fact. If Viborg does go through to the Group Stage, they have a decent chance of progressing to the main round as well in my opinion.

SK århus team 2012/13

Start up (i think)

RW: Line Rask
RB: Julie Aargaard
PM: Lene Bendixen
PV: Thilde Mathiasen
LB: Anne Sophie Okkels
LW: Trine Leth
GK: Mathilde Juncker

Pernille Clausen (RW)
Maria Johansen (RW)
Marthe Berger (LB)
Silje Frank (LB,PM)
Ramona Szabo (LB,PM
Linda Kristensen (PM)
Janeli Patail (PW)
Emma Mogensen (LB)
Louise Jukes (PW)
Marte Mai Johanen (GK)

I think our first line up looks really good Aagaard and Okkels is alot of firepower (VHK would probertly like her back :D ) Key will be to to get the team playing together - there are so many new players, and so it will be interesting to see how the level is when there are changed out.

in the last 2 training matches, they played up with VHK and ÅDH in the first half but lost in the second - it suggests that the level drops a lot when players from the first line up are replaced but it could also be because the team is not playing together yet.

I hope we do not lose too many points in the first games so we can have a pleasant ride back to the league.

Draw to Pokalen:

Kvartfinalerne:
FCM Håndbold-Viborg HK
Randers HK-KIF Vejen
Team Tvis Holstebro-Nykøbing Falster Håndbold(1st division)
Jersie(3rd division)-HC Odense

Let's say TTH and HC Odense can clap their hands, especially Odense. And must be great experience for Jersie.:)

Sounds like in general it was some really poor quality matches yesterday. But I think except maybe for Odense, FIF took the prize ](*,)

Their goalkeepers did well (except on throwing the ball up court which was several times a disaster, especially from Mortensen, P did okay) and they shared the time pretty evenly but the attack was a disaster (around 20-25 min into the match they had only scored 4 goals) and the defense didn't look too good either. On the other hand, most time the mistakes seemed like signs that the team is not played together yet, so it can only and will probably improve. Besides FIF had some players out, one of them Krogshede.

Praise for Cuadrado and Jette Hansen though. Cuadrados physique is just amazing and FIF defense had a hard time with her. Also Lise Binger with some nice goals there.

Article about HC Odense-FCM :)
http://haandbold.com/nyhed/hco-løb-ind-i-fcms-kontra-kniv

HC Odense's trainer talks about FCM apparently have reached a higher level in 6-0 defense, than he excepted, thinking of the reconstruction. He also mentions FCM is further in development in this start of season, than expected.

He also mentions that Cecilie Greve had a really good match =D> I hope she'll get her league breakthrough this season! [-o<

From europamester.dk

SK led by 12-7 after the first half - good defense havede given many counter-and second wave goals. But substitutions spec. Marte Berger in defense and better play of SVO meant to SVO came in front 19-20 with 5 minutes left. It would luckily be SVO's last goal, 2 big saves from Mathilde Juncker won SK important points.

SK Århus - Silkeborg Voel 21-20 (12-7)

SK AARHUS: Julie Aagaard 5, Lene Bendixen 5(2), Anna Sophie Okkels 5
Marthe Berger 2, Louise Jukes 2, Lina Rask 1, Trine Leth 1

SILKEBORG-VOEL KKFUM: Miriam Juul 7, Simone Böhme 7(2), Mette Kryger 2,
Iben Due 1, Hanne T.Nielsen 1, Melanie Felber 1, Nina Vassvik 1.

The winner teams are not surprising. The huge margins are.
In conclusion, I declare that EHF must be destroyed

I think mostly the margin in FCM-TTH is surprising. TTH was leading at HT but played a truly horrible second half (and/or great defense by FCM). However TTH also put in young players in the end so the difference got even bigger. And they are missing Sandra Toft. Her replacement had only 17%.

By the way, Trine Ø was 5/5 and Line J with many assists besides some goals =D>

Tea Mensah Larsen scoring 7 goals yesterday for Roskilde, guess it is the younger sister of very talented Mads Mensah Larsen former A.G. Handball

Have never heard of here on the youth national teams, can anyone fill me in, is she a talent?
Think I will go for something possitive here - Handball is just a great sport!

Have never heard of here on the youth national teams, can anyone fill me in, is she a talent?

You got me intrigued as well so I searched for her, but it appears it´s based on a mistake. According to the webpage of Roskilde handball they do not have a player named Mensah, but instead a rightwing from 1992 named Tea Mansa Larsen.. And based on her pale skin and blonde hair she is not related to Mads Mensah Larsen ;) Why all the websites such as hbold.dk writes Tea Mensah Larsen is a mystery..?

Think I will go for something possitive here - Handball is just a great sport!
