Or in the case of the year that has just passed: Clubs with the best players, huge amounts of money and utterly TERRIBLE results.

Hopefully next season will be better. It can hardly be worse.

Viborg is just PATHETIC at the moment. On paper, they have the best team in the world. At the moment they're barely top 20.

Russia-Fan and how does the semi final work, draw or first against second? :? First against second. Congrats GIRLS! Are you sure? :? Btw,Russia fan you said it didn't matter for how much Zvezda would have won today...wrong. why? Because if zvezda wins by two is the amount of goals in all group games...

After all, remember that Ryde won CL with VHK, Wilbek for one never did that. Hey remember that Andersen every season had a "Dream Team" when she won the CL, but sure she showed her trainer quality in being able to get her players to play the best in the end of the season, but she still h...

Will Popovic be ready for the Hypo clash? If she's ready I believe Viborg will snatch a close win. If she's not ready Hypo will win for sure.

Viborg should hire Anja Andersen for the remaining Champions League matches and they'd win the trophee with ease.

Viborg were lucky to lose by only two goals. They SERIOUSLY need to get their defense and their collective play together, or they won't progress to the semifinals, as shocking as that would be. It could prove crucial that they only lost by two goals. They looked to be losing by around 10 goals until...

Viborg still desperately needs to get their defense together. They were lucky to get the win. In the end, the charge of Popopvic during the last minutes, and the "friendly" referees, gave Viborg the win.

Denmark used to produce the best wings in the world - these days that honour easily goes to Romania.

I don't think the refereeing was bad. They gave Buducnost a couple of penalties that they didn't deserve, but that was about it. No big deal. A better than average ref job.

Only in Podgorica

I'm not bothered. It's Viborg's own fault that they didn't win this match. They really need to get their act together after christmas. They ought to be practically unbeatable with that squad.

What on earth has happened to Popovic' shot this season. Her long distance shot was second to none a couple of seasons ago. Now it seems rather weak. She scores most of her goals on breakthroughs.

Halftime Buducnost - Viborg 17-16 Viborg played an truly AWFUL first half - except for the last 5 minutes or so. They were behind by 4-5 goals for most of the half and looked completely uninspired. There's SUCH a world of difference between the mental attitude of Slagelse and Viborg when playing awa...

I'd like to already make the prediction that Viborg will win the Champions League. I only see injuries or Tomas Ryde ruining this, they have BY FAR the strongest squad.

It's always intense and close when we meet Denmark, no matter what :)

Oh, it won't be. Norway should win fairly easily. I'm not too concerned though. The future looks promising.

I love this new danish team. I like the fact that for the first time in many years, we have a team full of young talented players, instead of a team with lots of older nervous mediocre players that got the spot because the stars didn't want to play for the NT.

They're gonna be exciting to follow.

Sweden plays pretty well, 14:12 for France. Just to see how bad was Romania yesterday ... :? Well, France have always been known to be hard to play against. Their playing concept is quite destructive and frustrates some teams more than others. Denmark have often had problems with France, even if we...

She is far better than Line Jørgensen, and i don't understand why everybody says that she is such a great talent. If we compare those two girls performence in their debut, Dalby was far the best. Don't forget that Jørgensen is only 17 years old! But things are indeed looking promising for the futur...

This probably stems from the absurd idea that a Scandinavian "mafia" is running international handball. It's not gonna happen.

Popovic looking like she hated being on court against Aarhus (can't remember ever seeing her look like that on a court). Chemistry between her and Jurack and her and Skov did not look good at all.

Then a spectator at Slagelses match against GOG.

What to make of this?

Denmark with defence like Viborgs... and apparently we have decided not to play with goalkeepers Exactly. Makes you think that Pytlick should have called upon the entire Slagelse defense - Melgaard, Kristensen, Loft and Hougaard. There's no way THAT defense would have allowed Tsygitsa to score at w...

A nice clip from Slagelses CL triumph: http://www.slagelsefh.dk/index.php?id=2138 Anja gave Popovic Anjas World Best Handball Player Award, because as Anja said: "The federations (IHF in this case) don't always work as we would like them to." That is quite an understatement. Popovic...
