Re: EHF EURO 2014 - Hungary & Croatia

Hungarian squad for EURO2014: Mediocre team. It's safe to say "no semis". If Serbia could make it to the semis with their mediocre team then why not... ;) And we beat them on the bronze match with a very similar team. One big difference this time: no Görbicz. Home field can compensate her...

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

Like I said earlier, according to the old rules, the first reserve goes to the top non-qualified team of the last continental championship of the last world champion's federation. The last champion was from Europe, so the spot would go to Iceland as the 5th place from the 2014 Euro. Those were the ...

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

Hungary has applied for the vacant places. 2. Two best non-qualified teams from last EC: Iceland, Hungary - why EC? Why? Because that's what would happen according to the rules before the IHF changed them to throw in Germany. Unless the IHF wants to avoid a lawsuit from Iceland (which is pretty lik...

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

Hungary has applied for the vacant places. How they will decide? 1. Two best non-qualified teams from last WC: Hungary, Serbia - would be too appropriate  2. Two best non-qualified teams from last EC: Iceland, Hungary - why EC? 3. Two best non-qualified teams from IHF ranking: Serbia, Hungary -...

Re: Players on maternity leave / handball mamas

The time has come what I was really afraid of...

Anita Görbicz =D> ](*,)

Just before the EC, it will be extremely hard to get to semis...

Győr has alternative solutions to replace her but I guess Görbe&Lunde are too much loss.

Re: 2014 Summer preseason club tournaments and friendlies

What's wrong with Gyor? I know these are friendlies, but still... #-o :-k As I saw against Vardar, there were so many experiments by Ambros. We started with Planéta and Sen, Litre played a lot, Herr was forced though she did not meet the ball. Aguilar gets playing time as well but she's not on 100%...

Good group for HCM.Nice away trips to which I look forward 8:) not the best, not the worst. Metz signed Mendy and are the champions of France. Dinamo Sinara in awesome spot. the Hungarian teams got perfect draws, Gyor and probably FTC. the system is like this: the top three teams will advance to th...

Re: EHF EURO 2014 - Hungary & Croatia

That's why I like EC, no boring matches! :p It will be extremely hard for Hungary as well to reach semi-final. We have to beat 5 out of 6 very difficult opponents: Russia, Spain, Poland, Norway, Denmark, Romania and then it is still not garanteed. #-o Németh has to rotate, use every single player if...

Re: 2014 Summer preseason club tournaments and friendlies

The high "entryfee" for the tournament and than winning the own tournament to keep all the money - you're not making friends with such a behaviour ;) Győr will orgaize PWC Handball Fiesta this year as well (22-23-24 of August), Larvik and Vardar Skopje are invited. Győr-Larvik match will ...

Re: EHF EURO 2014 - Hungary & Croatia

Based on what? Serbia finished 4th on last EC (and won silver last year) for example. Based on placement of last EC and results in qualifications. Sweden took Serbia's place in pot1 as Serbia finished 2nd in their group. Yup, the super-special EHF algo. WCh results won't count in the pot allocation...

It can be decisive when 3 teams are "in question" with the same goal difference but 1 of them has more scored goals, I guess. :-k

I knew you would like it Galpa. :) I'm surprised you don't put Wawrinka's backhand in your top 4. Because I compared the abilities of Big 4! ;) But you are right, Wawrinka has the most efficient and spectacular backhand. He has to win more to be considered though. 8:) As a fan I support 1 handed ba...
