Agree, I was never a big fan of the decision EHF made for the winner of the old EHF tournament not to get a CL qual spot anymore. Kind of drained the tournament for some of the excitement. Earlier in the season they had a similar game (In Viborg), huge VHK lead at ht back then, but it ended a draw if I recall correctly.

FCM have a strong side, right now they're better than VHK and had they been in CL now, seeing how this year the playing field is more level than previous seasons, I'd say they could have done rather well. It's my impression that Randers usually do well against VHK. Unlike FCM when they were named Ikast and TTH, Randers haven't had a Viborg complex as far as I recall. In my it's 50/50 on who'll go through.

I guess picking Voel isn't only about who you get to meet, but also who RHK and VHK gets to meet (each other). If Voel defeated RHK or VHK, it wouldn't be an advantage for TTH, unless TTH met them in the final.

I imagine FCM is thrilled that TTH picked Voel though.
