It will be close from my point of view, one of the best players from Baia-Mare, who was also in the national team's roster, Camelia Balint is still injured. Melinda Geiger scored 11 goals today from 19, but still the other girls didn't help her too much.

Anyway, Baia-Mare's force is home... But I have the feeling it will be very close!

Kuban is very unsatisfied with Greek refs, for those it was only second (!) international match ever in their lifes. Kuban doesn't talk about intentional affection of the game, they don't like their very low professional qualification. A Russian high international class ref was in the hall and he counted about 25 (!) mistakes from referees (bulk of them against home team).
Really don't understand how EHF can delegate such a couple for such a "difficult" game in second high-ranked european competition.....
Btw., Russians was also very surprised with SKA's level, they awaited much more from them. Finally, 2500 is wow a fantastic attendance =D>

It is the third ranked European Competition

Well, maybe Kuban didn't do the normal russian referee treatment. They should ask Zvenigorod, Togliatti or Volgograd what has to be done at EC. :D :D :D

Well, then maybe Kuban should have considered beating them with more than 4 goals..? Taking into account how surprised they were and all. SK Århus have 5 good players in their squad + the goalkeepers. The rest is IMO not even good enough for the Danish league.

But the attendance number is quite impressive, I´ll agree with you on that much ;)

I think right this fact was the surprising discovery for them.

Randers - ŠKP Bratislava 31-26 (13:14)
7m: 2/2 - 3/3. 2min excl. 1-0. 900 spectators. Rematch tomorrow.

Randers: Augustesen M. 6, Wörz 5, Silitch 3, Kristensen 3, Fruelund 3, Fisker 3, Medeiros de Oliveira 3, Dalby 2...
ŠKP: Beňušková 5, Hodošková 5, Kerteszová 4, Štetáková 4, Martanovičová 3, Globanová 3...

Very good result for Slovak team. But no money = no home match = no chances to advance..... Very pity :(

Nice result for SKP. B.
A danish team would be satisfied with -5 in away-match.

Aggregate 56-62.

Double pity..... Match in Bratislava could be very crucial. Anyway, great job of Slovak girls, I must visit their match next week. Looks like something has changed since october. =D>

HCM Baia Mare - SPR Lublin 27-30

Polish team is qualified for the 1/4 final after winning the first match with 24-19. Unfortunately for the Romanian team, they aren't in a good form and the absences of Balint and Dobromir were decisive.

Very nice. I was hoping for a qualification to the next round, but I didn't expect away victory. Good job. =D> 1/4 is fine for this team.

It was pretty clear Baia Mare is average without Balint and Dobromir. I was hoping for a good result at home, but since this year has started, this team is getting worse :(

Dunărea is simply average! Said it earlier and am now convinced more than ever. It's Romania's lamest season in women's handball since I don't know when. Perhaps with Zalău back on track we'll have more than Oltchim to rely on. The rest of the teams are really disappointing when not playing in Challenge Cup. Really, aren't there any other players in this country appart from the Oltchim ones. Oh, wait, I know the answer, it's in our youth national teams results. Bad bad days are coming for Romania.

That's true mikh. The "derby" 's level between 2nd place Roman and 3rd place Cluj wasn't good. If you want to compare Roman to a team, the ideal "candidate" would be Romania's football champion, Unirea Urziceni. They haven't got many talented players (exception Tivadar and maybe Gherman) but Badulescu made a very disciplined team with a good defense.

Unfortunately, the main problem in our country is the lack of money... We want big performances in no time, but without any investment in infrastructure..

small correction: with a rough to sometimes violent defense. there is a difference.

Elda - Kuban (this is evry close too,if Kuban wins in Elda...Kuban is Qualified)
Randers - Lublin(Randers is not a very good team from Denmark is an average one (in my oppinion, but a good one...so if Lublin take care maybe they will reach 1/2 finals :D).

For both russian teams, a way to semifinal will be much harder than that to quarters (IMHO). Hope at least one will advance. Remaining two are not so strong pairs, anyway I'm very curious about Kikinda-Leverkusen.

Kikinda got a decent team, they have chances. Anyway, Wbk do you know where did Bobrovnikova go, since she and GK Evdokimovich left Kikinda.
