Sad news from Silkeborg-Voel as leftback and national team player Anna Sophie Okkels (1990) will end her career after this season. The decision was made to ensure her physical health for the future, because Okkels has been suffering from multiple injuries and physical strains.

Okkels was for me the biggest prospect of the 1990-1991 generation which is evident by the fact that she had her debut for the senior NT in 2007 at the age of 18, but her potential never fully came into realization due to injuries constantly stopping her development. She did prove to be an excellent player on many occasions though and played 40 NT matches.

I can't read Macedonian, yet I double checked the name (actually I can read, I know the letters, but I don't understand what I read ). Andrea Čanađija (born Čović) is 24 years old. Why on earth should a player in her age finish her career?
