Danish League 2010-2011

Postby TDK » Tue Jun 15, 2010 2:19 pm

Well summertime is nice, but also a little bit boring without handball !
The players-coaches and many others in handball-world deserve a nice holiday 8:)

Danish League 2010-2011

Foreign reinforcements so far :

- Kari Aalvik Grimsbö (Norway) - from Byaasen to TEAM Esbjerg
- Angelica Wallén (Sweden) - from Skövde to TEAM Esbjerg
- Gøril Snorreggen (Norway) - from Byaasen to TEAM Esbjerg
- Ulrika Ågren (Sweden) - from Sävehof to TEAM Esbjerg
- Linda Hansen (Norway) - from HBC Nimes to Aalborg DH
- Julie Goiorani (France) - from HBC Nimes to Aalborg DH
- Mariama Signate (France) - from HBC Nimes to Aalborg DH
- Susann Müller (Germany) - from Leipzig to SK Aarhus
- Marta Tomac (Croatia) - from Selbu to SK Aarhus
- Marit Malm Frafjord (Norway) - from Byaasen to Viborg HK
- Elisabeth Pinedo (Spain) - from Itxako to HC Odense
- Petra Vrdoljak (Croatia) - from Lokomotiva Zagreb to HC Odense

In Denmark many of us handball-fans believe in a new era in Danish handball.
The clubs are now signing the young talented Danish players and not so many
players from abroad ( I know there is an economic issue as well )

Because of this, I hope we will see a stronger Danish female NT. in the future.

PS. We will have to wait and see, how many times I have to edit the list
of foreign players before season ;)

Is there another issue. Do you really believe that the clubs have other interests?

By the way: Joyce Hilster from Odense GOG to Frisch Auf Göppingen.

Yes meteo absolutely !

Since the results of the Danish female NT has been weaker and weaker over the
last 5 years, the general interest in the female league has been going down.
Less spectators-less sponsors.
Viborg had a hard time selling a fair amount of tickets even to the Ch.L final against Oltchim.
5 years ago it was not unusual that Ikast and Viborg played a normal league-match in the same arena (MCH)in front of 5000 spectators.
Ikast always had to move their home-matches in Ch.L to MCH-arena, to fit in the crowd.

Last couple of years the male NT. from DK won medals, so now the male league has the upper hand in Danish handball.

So it is in the interest of the clubs to have a strong NT again !
However the aim of Viborg is to be the strongest club in Europe no matter what.

Viborg upcoming season.

The Dane wrote, starting formation in backcourt :
-left : Rikke Skov
-play : Mouna Chebbah
-right : Grit Jurack
----------------------------
What about defence ?

Question mark is goalkeeper Christina Pedersen and Louise B. Due ?
But first the opponent have to "break down" the 6m line-up :

Jurack-Acimovic-Althaus-Frafjord-Amariei and Minister of Defence : Rikke Skov

In my opinion Viborg still have a decent defence !!

With 1 year contracts for both Maja Savic and Carmen Amariei it looks
like Viborg is on the market during the next season for a couple of
top-players for the future VHK-team.

No doubt about who Viborg wants indstead of Savic and Ameriei

Anna-Sophie Okkels and Maria Fisker - both from Randers HK

@Jessen, you asked about Sjøberg in transfer-topic? First of all I dont know
anything about the future plans of Sjøberg. Will she retire or keep playing
as an amateur without a contract ?

It´s kind of a strange situation for Sjøberg, two years ago NT-player and now
she is almost forgotten ( I don´t know her age, but I believe she is still young )

She should never have left Horsens, she was the star in Horsens with all the "tickets"
in the team. In my opinion she never performed well in FCK and FCM and that ruined
her NT career !

Still problems in Danish League :

SK Aarhus on search for a pivot, they have none right now !

Sønderjydske will they go to pieces ? They have no money, no coach
and only 5 players on contract. Even those 5 players are told that they are
free to go if they want to !

Ekaterina Andryushina NOT to TEAM Esbjerg.

Esbjerg with no money and Andryushina with knee-injury =
bad combination !

Sjøberg must be 27-28 years old now...

I think the biggest mistake about Sjøberg was Pytlick (and thomas hylle in FCK) changing her to play as playmaker indstead of staying on left back where she's best. That might have ruined her carreer.

And that she never performed well in FCK and FCM - well the first year in FCK she was the topscorer of the Danish league, so she performed well in the first year in FCK but in FCM she has never been good, maybe only in some few matches.

A funny thing is, in 2008/09 when Ikast/FCM played Champions League, she became the player scoring most goals for Ikast (but most of them was on 7m)

She never became the new Milanovic, which Ikast thought she could be....

Now she's forgotten...

I can only agree with you, the playmaker-role "killed" her. Sjøberg is a hardhitter
not a fast-pace playmaker.

And yes, first year in FCK she performed alright, but then again FCK were not much
stronger than Horsens that year.

Ps. Remember nowadays coach Thomas Hylle just has a minor position in
a water-world in a holiday resort (http://www.lalandia.dk)

As I understand it, it means she won't be paid. She will have to work (look for a job as a nurse) the next six months or how long it takes her to find a club. She has been talking with several clubs but none of them could afford to sign her.

I think it was the same sort of contract Trine Troelsen was on for a short while when she unexpectedly left SK Aarhus.

My preview of next years results in GuldBageren League:

1.Viborg HK (Still great players like Jurack and Skov)
2.FC Midtjylland Handball (New concept with shooters will lead them to the final)
3.Randers HK (Randers still in the top)
4.KIF/Vejen (Almost the same team, plus Lousie Burgaard!!)
5.Team Tvis Holstebro (Wild guess but they have great potential)
6.Team Esbjerg (Not the same strength, and they'll end even lower)
7.FIF (Mortensen and Milanovic - it's not too bad)
8.SK Århus (It can be both a good or bad surprice)
9.HC Odense (Not many stars left - looking forward to se N.Nielsen)
10.Aalborg DH (I don't believe in thier "french" style)
11.Roskilde Handball (It will be difficult, even though talents are there)
12.SønderjyskE (They will relegate I think - poor economi and players)

I almost agree :)

1.Viborg HK
2.Randers HK (experience will win against FCM for 2. place)
3.FC Midtjylland Handball (Gitte åen will make a huge difrence - now you have to cover the wing too)
4.KIF/Vejen (Borring but they are good)
5.Team Tvis Holstebro (same team, great new signings AG and Gravholt)
6.SK Århus (Same wings, can be both a good or bad surprice - i hope good :D )
7.Team Esbjerg (Chebbah will be missed alot)
8.FIF (Mortensen and Milanovic - and noone else)
9.HC Odense (Not many stars left - looking forward to se N.Nielsen)
10.Aalborg DH (I don't believe in thier "french" style)
11.Roskilde Handball (It will be difficult, even though talents are there)
12.SønderjyskE (They will relegate I think - poor economi and players)
TT come back plz!

Anja Andersen came by

Normally we know her as the general, who from the sidelines - and with adrenaline pumping in the body - has directed some of the greatest handball battles Elro Arena has put floor to.

But Tuesday afternoon it was a different casual Anja Andersen, who wore dark blue t-shirt and tennis shoes comboyjeans and sat on one of the yellow spectator seats in the randrusianske handball arena that watched Randers HK's training.

Anja Andersen was visiting Mette Melgaard, whom she has trained both in Slagelse and FCK. Randers Amtsavis took the opportunity for a handball chat with Anja Andersen.

What will it mean that Randers HK has gotten Mette Melgaard to the club?

'In my view Mette Melgaard is the world's best defensive player. If you have to win handball matches, it is about keeping opponents under 20 goals, and I think, Randers will in many matches. With Melgaard, they got a player who manages to tie the whole defense together. And then I think, moreover, that she will play a role in the attack.

Bojana can not be replaced
How do you assess Viborg after parting with Bojana Popovic?

"Yes, if Melgaard is the world's best defensive player must be said that Bojana is the world's best attack player. Bojana one can hardly replace, and it is a giant loss in the league that she is not here anymore. But now she's come to another good club and you gotta remember that Viborg also lost handball matches with Bojana on the team, "says Anja Andersen.

Following the closure of FCK Handball Anja Andersen is currently taking a break from trainer profession.

According to the Danish handball-site: http://www.hbold.DK/

Ivana Lovric (Croatia) is on a "try-out" in KIF Vejen this week.
If she sign with KIF Vejen, she will face her former team-mates -DVSC Korvex- in the CL-quali.

I don´t remember Lovric, is she any good ?

Yeah, she is a pretty good playmaker. Her transfer to KIF is a big surprise, because when she left Debrecen she said that she will take a break and will focus on her personal life.
Anyway here are her last year stats, hope u can manage it ;)

Looks like she makes a decent amount of goals, perfect.

As always the google-translation is a bit strange, but thx anyway :)

We will see if Lovric and KIF join forces ?
