Interesting article about Budućnost. Cristina Neagu is also there. :)

Which team has the best 9 M Line? I'm waiting for opinions!! TOP 3.

1. Gyor: Amorim (Dóra Hornyák) - Gorbicz (Kovacsics) - Bulatovic (Redei-Soos)
2. Buducnost: Neagu (Byzdra) - Knezevic (Nikitina)- Dalby (Gjorgjievska)
3. Larvik: Edin (Stange)- Hammerseng (Dyhre Breivang) - Sulland (N.Mork)
4. Krim: Penezic (Torstenson)- Worz (A.Bulatovic) - Vizitiu (Lazovic)
5. Thuringer: Nadgornaja (Mietzner) - Wohlblod (Luzumova) - Barbosa (Engel)
6. Metz: Andryushina (Gonzalez-Ortega) - Liscevic - Pidpalova (Prudhomme)
7. FTC: Tomori (Steinbach) - Szucsánszki (Zácsik) - Pena (Szekerczés)
8. Hypo: Acimovic - Rodrigues - Cavaleiro
9. FC Midtjylland: Troelsen (Stine Jørgensen) - Groot (Møller) - Jørgensen
10. HCM Baia-Mare: Szűcs (Buceschi) - Marin (Ghionea) - Geiger (Oltean)
11. Vardar: Nikolic (Crvenkoska) - Lekic/Pineau - Khmyrova (Dmitrovic)

I think that one of this teams will win 2013–14 EHF Women's Champions League.

If i had to choose 3 it would be Buducnost, Gyor and FTC/FCM (the third one is tough to pick).
But to be honest all teams have good to decent 9m line.

And by the way Byzdra is CB and Milena is LB. ;)

I also like THC's attack. With Barbosa on centre back, Nadgornaja on left back and Engel on right back they could cause big trouble to many top teams. We should watch their perfomance this year. ;)

Agree. Plus Meitzner and Gros they have hard shooting distanse shooters all over the line. Teams must underestimate Thuringer.

If you also consider defense-skills i would pick:

1) Györ
2) FCM (Groot, and L.Jørgensen)
3) Larvik (Hammerseng and Breivang)

This is a top 12 (couldn't help it)

1. Gyor: Amorim (Dóra Hornyák) - Gorbicz (Kovacsics) - Bulatovic (Redei-Soos)
2. Buducnost: Knezevic (Neagu) - Byzdra (Nikitina)- Dalby (Gjorgjievska) - because it includes 3 of my favourites: Neagu, Knezevic and Dalby. However, it will be hard to fuse this completely new back line; FCM and FTC, both teams with established line-ups, will be major challenges.
3. FTC: Tomori (Steinbach) - Szucsánszki (Zácsik) - Pena (Szekerczés) - one of the most versatile back lines Tomori, Szucsanszki and Pena can play LB, CB and RB. Plus the other two monster-shooters in LB.
4. Larvik: Edin (Stange)- Hammerseng (Dyhre Breivang) - Sulland (N.Mork) - good, but slightly older than the above. Have shown weakness this past season.
5. FC Midtjylland: Troelsen (Stine Jørgensen) - Groot (Møller) - Jørgensen - unfortunately, they will meet FTC and Buducnost, one top 5 back line will leave the competition before the MR.
6. Vardar: Nikolic (Crvenkoska) - Lekic/Pineau - Khmyrova (Dmitrovic) - same problem as for Buducnost, but in this case I'm not a fan of any of their back players, except for Khmyrova, so no emotional attachment.
7. Viborg: Damnjanovic (Skov) - Gullden (Chebbah) - Burgaard (Kurtovic) - have injected some spirit into the team with the arrival of Burgaard, Damnjanovic and Masson. I expect them to reach the group stage and then maybe go into the MR.
8. Krim: Penezic (Torstenson)- Worz (A.Bulatovic) - Lazovic (Vizitiu) - not a top 4 team this season, but easy group
9. Thuringer: Nadgornaja (Mietzner) - Wohlblod (Luzumova) - Barbosa (Engel/Gros) - good, big confrontation for 2nd in group A.
10. Metz: Andryushina (Gonzalez-Ortega) - Liscevic - Prudhomme (Pidpalova) - lucky draw, might get into the MR (I would have preferred Budu&FCM&FTC there)
11. Hypo: Acimovic - Rodrigues - Cavaleiro - no opinion
12. HCM Baia-Mare: Szűcs (Buceschi) - Marin (Ghionea) - Geiger (Oltean) - I don't rate them very high. Sorry, but no groups for Romania this year.

Indirectly, I took into consideration the rest of the playing positions in order to make a vague prediction.

Do not understand exactly why everyone puts FCM so high? I see both Gyor, Larvik, FTC, Buducnost, Viborg, Vardar, Thuringer and Krim as better back-row players and bench compared with FCM.

Disagree about places 4,5 and 6. First Jelena is out till December / January, so only count Tolnai and Stefanisin for Krim. THC and Metz are far from having top goalkeepers imo. I´d certainly place Hypo, Vardar and even Viborg ahead of them. BUT a lot depends on the defense in front of gk´s, so such a vote is only meant to be fun imo until the CL kicks off. ;-)

2. Buducnost: Woltering/ Zderic/ Vukcevic
3. Viborg : Masson/ Darleux
4. Vardar: Leynaud/ Suslina/ Saidova

My list:

1. Buducnost: Woltering/ Zderic/ Vukcevic (normally i would put Gyor or even Larvik in the first place, but i think Zderic is better than Herr or Rantala at this moment, so combined with Woltering they make a strong GK duo)
2. Gyor: Haraldsen/ Herr (this was hard, i was choosing between Gyor and Larvik, but Haraldsen is younger, and one helluva GK)
3. Larvik: Leganger/ Rantala/ Hasanic (Leganger is a crazy women, enough said) :)
4. Viborg: Masson/ Darleux (this was hard too, choosing between Viborg and FCM, but the second Viborg GK made the difference)
5. FCM: Englert/ Theilgaard Hansen ( Englert is a fantastic GK, it's hard to score when she stands between the posts)
6. Vardar: Leynaud/ Suslina/ Saidova (i haven't seen Leynaud play since the Buducnost-Metz match last year, so i don't know on what level she is, but considering the past i put Vardar on the 6th place just for now)
7. HCM Baia-Mare: Ungureanu/ Smedescu/ Cetateanu (because i think that Ungureanu is better than the rest of the remaining GK's)

That's enough from me. :)

I feel the same about Krim. Weak right side and temporary GK handicap. A step back for them, while last year's weaker teams have become stronger: BUD, FTC, VHK, THC (Vardar and FCM being the biggest threats among the new additions to the ChL).

Back to the goalkeepers, I think there are 3 cases. First, the case in which I don't even care who the 2nd choice is, because it is barely needed (last year's ChL shows it, when did Haraldsen, Leganger and Woltering play so bad that they had to be replaced? once in one season, maybe twice). I feel Englert and Ungureanu belong here too.

1. Larvik: Leganger/ Rantala/ Hasanic
2. Gyor: Haraldsen/ Herr
3. Buducnost: Woltering/ Zderic/ Vukcevic
4. FC Midtjylland: Englert/ Theilgaard Hansen
5. HCM Baia-Mare: Ungureanu/ Smedescu/ Cetateanu

Then, we have good duos. All of these GKs can't keep their high level indefinitely, so in this case the 2nd choice counts.

6. Viborg : Masson/ Darleux
7. Vardar: Leynaud/ Suslina/ Saidova
8. Krim: Grubisic/ Tolnai/ Stefanisin
9. Thuringer: Marz/ Jana Krause

Finally, there's the rest, with no big profile, mostly young. I would place Arenhart and Barjaktarovic in first among them and then, the experienced Abramovich.

10. Rostov-Don: Barjaktarovic/ Gabisova
11. Hypo: Arenhart/ Sanko
12. FTC: Abramovich/ Szikora
etc.

So far, Buducnost, Gyor, Larvik, FTC (with GK handicap though) stand out in my book. Will you do wingers and pivots next?

My top 10

1 Gyor One woman show here. :)
2 Krim Manea very good in ofence, but with some obvious defensive problems.
3 Vardar I love the Dokic-Fernandez duo
4 Viborg I've always been a fan of Frafjord
5 Larvik Blanco mentains a good level for her age and looking forward to see Lise Loke
6 Buducnost Cvijic is a wall in defence, but has problems in the offence and Jezic just a great potential player for now
7 FCM I think people underates Thorsgaard.
8 Thuringer
9 Ftc Good pivots that mentain a decent level ,but sometimes you need more
10 Hypo Spiridon is a big question. If she can be the same great defensive player Hypo can do some surprises next year
