Morning Guys,

We have a PHPBB expert working on the forum thie days.

Because since january we have closed for new signups because of to much spam robots getting trough our security.

But a lot of people mail that they would like to sign up and join the handball talk here on the site, so we hired the expert to install more security and make other improvements to the forum.

We are looking at the chat issue asap, and to those wanting to sign up and reading this, then that part is done and the forum is now open for new members.

The Chat is working again now - we have just testet it with differet users..

Status on the work beeing done are:

Chat working & new improved spam filter installed
Forum update to new version will take more time.
But we will work on our localhost, and when sure there are no problems, move it to the live forum

@MAX - please write again - I have not recieved it, maybe one of the other admins have deleted it by mistake.

Hi all,

We are now done working with the forum improvements, the following have been installed:

- Several new anti-spam plugins - making it possible to open the forum for new users again.
- The forum have been updatet to the latest version.
- I new mobile and tablet plugin have been installed so the forum now works much better on mobile and tablets.

The work is done for now but please let us now if there are other improvements you guys would like.

Concerning the rest of the site we will update the facebook site more offent from now on with more photos from the games and other updates, as you can allerede see, so please like the site on facebook, so we can reach more handball fans that way.

The twitter feed will be installed again next week, and next month we start updating the player stats from the leagues as they finish.

Hi all,

Time for a small update again.

The last weeks we have been working on a mobile and tablet makeover of handball123, it is almost done only details on mobile are missing. And the new tablet version is ready and will be implementet before the end of this week, if all goes well

The anti spam works quite good - and we only have to delete spam 2-3 times a week, so we can keep the site open to new signups.

We are also updating the database and will continue all summer - Denmark women are done, Norway women almost - next up will be champions league, and by the end of the summer all players will be updated with the latest stats.

So far we have choosen to keep the site advertising free, but it have been an expensive year, so to cover a bit of those costs we will add banners. It will be google adds and adds we sell - hope all are okay with that and will welcome especially the advertiser we sell to - we hope that handball tournaments and handball related companies will be interested. * Only 3 banners and no banners inside the forum, so no worries there

The site is growing really well but most people only read, that is okay, but we would like all of you to join the talk once in a while.

Every time I try to post a reply I receive an error message which stays on my desktop for 2-3 seconds (see picture no. 1). Then I can post my reply, but when I use diacritics something horrible happens (see picture no. 2 ).
Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for your work (althought I don't know why everything was changed in the first place, but I am sure you had your reasons). I have two issues though:

1. I don't want to log-in everytime just to read the chat - please, please make it viewable again when you are logged-out.

2. As it was already mentioned by someone else: 4 or 5 rows in the chat isn't a lot, please make it like it used to be again.

As you probably noticed we have worked on the forum to make it even better, we are almost done now, and hope all is working.

Please let us now if there are something you do not like, or experience any bugs.

So we can fix it before the WC where we will have a competition and more.

1. Can we have the old, pristine, chat-looking chat back, please?
2. Are the swearing word-filters necessary?
3. Can we have a BBCode for the <br> html tag in the chat? It would be useful at quoting texts with line breaks (EHF regulations, iterview excerpts, poetry, recipes, etc) from external sources.
4. An [s] [/s] tag would be fun too in the forum.
