But surely, Romania have stepped up now to fight for the gold after so many years almost there, so I guess it's finally their turn now

ROMANIA DEFEAT THE WORLD CHAMPIONS
we should also remember that Holland smashed Spain, 31-21. it was the third biggest achievement of the night, after the amazing win of Hungary against Poland and the little surprise of Romania beating Norway.

We didn't stand a chance today. Kristiansen, Mork, Loke, Grimsbo (for the most part) and most of the others too were just plain awful. I've rarely seen them play so collectively bad as they all did today. Shame on them! Depressing to watch.
However. I'm going to take my hat off for Romania after this game. While Norway had a really bad day, Romania made it seem even worse. Neagu and Ungureanu owned us. They made us look incredibly amateurish. Only good teams make World Champions look like a Girls 12 team.
Oh and the refs sucked - both ways.

Thank you for the fair opinion. It's a quality in accepting a clear defeat. Romania did work for it, did want it and obtained it in elegant mannerI hope for a good game in Norway, for both teams.

let's be fair, both team with some reserves .
at home both wanted to win . the determination made the deference

It can't be compared.

two truly missing : Neagu and Ungureanu, and in parts Elisei -Ardean
maybe is better to try to be more objective. A win is a win...both ways

Truly or not truly, Romania played without their "best 7" from WCh:
Ungureanu - Elisei, Nechita - Neagu, Buceschi, Geiger - Manea
On the other hand, I'm very surprised after HUN - POL 26-27. What happened?
