Champions League - Group Phase - Round 5
Hi guys,
Long time no see, have been busy at work, but still read in here just no time to post..
Some news from CSM before todays game:
Oana Manea, Deon Fachinello and Linnea Thorstensson will not play today. And the two last ones will also be missing the game against Baia Mare on tuesday..as far as i now...not 100% sure..

Think I will go for something possitive here - Handball is just a great sport!

Lot's of teams on autopilot, both baiamare and csm has a more important game come tuesday, than this champions league round..
If Larvik wants to show that they're back on track, now is the time.. and Vardar also has some redemption to be done.. Györ is a wounded predator, they can still bite, but Vardar has a shot of winning the group. (come january, Györ will be a beast once more, if they steer clear of injuries)
With this first part of the european season drawing to a close, most of the victories in this round will be driven home on cruise-control..
A draw in france, doesnt seem that unlikely

Well then my prior prediction might look a bit stupid.... thought they were all fit and ready..

Also Tine Stange didn't go to Russia either. Kurtovic is, for some reason, questionable for this game also. Larvik will lose for sure.

Hehe, why shouldn't I be??? God knows why they bother spend money to travel at all... Better to use it on a helluva party instead
That is a good mental coach advice if u ask me, as minus 10 goals are just bad, bad, bad, and no fun at all. Cheaper too

Breistøl, Breivang and Molid has a combined scoring total of 14. Hammerseng has 13 alone. If Kurtovic isn't playing, these four will have to create a miracle in order to have a chance at winning this game. I'm all for building self-esteem and believing that anything is possible, but at some point realism has to be part of it.
Breivang scored 9 goals in the cup semifinal, but Lunde knows her well. Breistøl is lacking experience. She's on her way to becoming a great player, but she's not there yet. On a good day, Molid can score a few goals but she's still more of a defensive specialist. That leaves Hammerseng. If Kurtovic is ready, that changes things a little. But still they come with Solberg and Graesholt as the only wingers, neither of them has done particularly well so far in CL.
If they all have their best match in CL so far this season, they can of course win. But Lunde is probably p*ssed off by Thorir, so she has something to prove. What better opponent could she have, to prove he made a giant mistake by leaving her out of the WhC?

Breistøls international breakthrough
Larvik came with 9 players to Rostov, and needed a miracle it seemed... However, it was enough for Moen to tell Breistøl he wanted 20 shots from her. My God, he got them too. 13 goals, more than half of LHK's goals

Rostov was leading with 5 goals in the second half, then they send Lunde on the bench and Larvik could come back in the game. At 26-25 Breistøl could have secured a well deserved point, but Lunde scared her to miss the penalty... That is called Fearfactor, Hergeirsson. Vital in the crucial moments!!!

I want this woman back on the NT ASAP
