Re: Champions League- Main round -3
Finally CL is back, the last few weeks were difficult without it. This round though isn't exciting, and the most interesting game is already today.
05.02.2016 20:00, Baia Mare
HCM Baia Mare (ROU) vs. FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria (HUN) +1
FTC is a nice surprise this season, it's a pleasure to watch them. However, the home advantage of Baia Mare can give them the win.
06.02.2016 17:00, Rostov Don
Rostov-Don (RUS) vs. Thüringer HC (GER) +8
06.02.2016 18:30, Larvik
Larvik (NOR) vs. Fleury Loiret Handball (FRA) +5
06.02.2016 17:00, Győr
Györi Audi ETO KC (HUN) vs. CSM Bucuresti (ROU) +5
Might be too much chaos in CSM.

I so did not see that coming.
Hard to explain the massive diff between Fradi 3 weeks ago and their display this evening. Zita almost a ghost, Zácsik not quite herself and Szikora kinda wobbly in her shift. The only one afloat seemed Nerea but it was far from being enough to snatch a point/something outta the game.
On the other hand, credit to the HCM team for a rather unusual luminous play, with a pretty good goals/attempts-to-score ratio and a tougher defense than their habitual sort. And Bebe Perianu was such a beautiful surprise! No wonder Lois rubbed the bench for like 50min today. Nice one for Roșca... and have to say he desperately needed it.
Can't wait to see Elek's response in Budapest. What a game in perspective!

Yeah, I'm back again ofc when Larvik playes CL
Please don't hint anything about the match against Germany, as I am still recovering (according to new rules one more player on the field in the last 5 minutes is automatically 2 minutes + a penalty...and there were 5 people supervising this as their job...aaaarrrrghhhh).

Me being pessimistic.... SHAME ON ME ! Ferencvaros a mediocre team. In the Romanian league will be behind HCM and CSM, would be tough for FTC to beat corona or braila. The Hungarian team had a mediocre group in the 1st phase of CL.

Indeed? Drawing such conclusions from one game - even from one where we played abysmally - is kind of childish.

With all the respect to you
1) Hungarian Leauge is stronger than the Romanian Leauge
2) FTC had a bad day
3.) Yes, FTC had an easy group compared to others, but FTC is one of the best teams in whole Europe.
4) FTC would fight for titel(s) in Romania against CSM & Baia Mare
5) Nope, not an super FTC/Hungarian fan, just being fair and realistic.

really? oh, well, than , Europe must have such ... teams. name me one player from ferencvaros, which is top or first 3 in the world.
ferencvaros is low quality team. no decent gk, no decent wingers, not a decent line player. excepet pena, ferencvaros has a corona . braila level team. now, hungary doesn't have super-star.(such as neagu, loke, amorim before the injury, or nora mork) for years, they had gorbicz. now, gorbicz, as expected(pregnancy and age) is going towards reteirement.
palinger it was at his time, a very good gk.

FTC will at least still be around in 5 years time, unlike the two Romanian giants. Or hell, even next year.

Re: Champions League- Main round -3
Nice game yesterday from the Romanians.
Especially in defense, the had all the answers for possible FTC plays, congrats to their coach. Nascimento was their only weak link.
And that is also their main problem, because Elek insists on having some players and giving them much playing time even though they belong to the past, not to the present (Kovacsicz, Szamoránsky).
But being together can be a factor though, if they get their rhytm (and on home ground they use to) they are dangerous to everyone.
Well, FTC still managed to beat Larvik, and was very close to Rostov, in Rostov with all the main attackers playing close to zero (including Pena), but having their defense working. Did HCM beat Larvik?
Pena is good, but she can be hard to play with, a bit selfish, hard-to-follow type. Yesterday she scored a lot, but the team game was not efficient. Unlike HCM's with Pineau.
I'd argue with point No3. I don't see FTC belonging to the best, because of their lack of stability. They can play on high level, but many times it is not the case. Home soil helps them a lot, (BTW congrats for the Romanians for the excellent atmosphere, making our girls feel like little bunnies) at the SYMA Arena they are true lionesses. So they can be dangerous to anyone (even for Podgorica), but not a Top 5 team at all, in my book. They can have all at one match (because if there is space, even their mediocre pivots can be useful, and no-one can deny their power from the outside, if Zácsik, Szucsánszki, etc. get their game going)
Having superstars can not guarantee titles alone. Sometimes if you have the right "puzzle" it is almost as useful.
I guess FTC has a great backline with good versatility, players with great shooting and dribbling skills.
They would need a better pivot, a more clever right wing, and a more consistant keeper.

So they can be dangerous to anyone (even for Podgorica), but not a Top 5 team at all, in my book. They can have all at one match (because if there is space, even their mediocre pivots can be useful, and no-one can deny their power from the outside, if Zácsik, Szucsánszki, etc. get their game going)

palinger it was at his time, a very good gk.

Before you give advice to others, tell your fradi fans, to show respect to others . Yesterday, as we did in gyor, we showed what it means to be handball supporters, and not a bunch of people which came from the bar after drinking beer and taking other stuff...We will come to Budapest and not turn the back to your anthem and show the middle finger. its called RESPECT. A word which hungarian fans they don't know it. And its not the first time it happened. Keep dreaming. Its 2016, its never gonne happened what Hungarians dream it. If you were a big country like US or Russia . Don't live in the past.

And what has to do with what I wrote ? Yes, ftc will be around , as a mediocre team. Even thuringer will be in the 5 years. While gyor are a giant and will remain one, because they will always have awesome players.

As I know, those who did that are football fans (with limited thinking ofc). Hungarian fans (especially the ones of Gyor) are respectful and fair play. Please see difference
