Olympic Games 2016
Olympic Games 2016
The draw is held tomorrow so it's time to open this topic.
Pot 1: Norway, Netherlands
Pot 2: Romania, Russia
Pot 3: Sweden, Montenegro
Pot 4: France, Brazil
Pot 5: Spain, Argentina
Pot 6: South Korea, Angola
So the draws are known to be really crazy so i hope it won't happen this time to have one ridiculously easy group and the other group of death.

Argentina and Angola shouldn't be in the same group. Everything else is pretty same. Of course, why not some easy group for Montenegro. For example: Norway, Romania, Montenegro, Brazil, Argentina, Angola - easier draw in quarterfinal

Re: Olympic Games 2016
I'm very excited for the tournament. I'm waiting for my journalist credential for Olympics, but I have also secured some tickets before, including both semifinals and the final.
There are many players that I would like to see in action.

The best option would be to have 2 balanced groups so we wold have more interesting matches. For example if you go zig zag you would have: Norway, Russia, Sweden, Brazil, Spain, Angola in one group and in the other Netherlands, Romania, Montenegro, France, Argentina, South Korea. It would be cool

Oh nice. Lucky you. I got accepted to work there also, but since they lied and are not providing the accomodation and the trip to Brazil like they said they would i turned them down.

Re: Olympic Games 2016
It's obvious that Brazil wanted to avoid the teams from Group A in the Quarter Finals. They took a risk so let's just wait and see if it pays off. I think that any of the 5 teams from Group A can qualify. Can't wait

Tough decision to Brazil - harder group or easier quarterfinal (Yes, maybe they'll miss it.).

I'd say these are pretty good hours for people in Europe who work during the day.

Re: Olympic Games 2016
It means I can see the game before the work instead of not watching it at all so I'm not complaining. And there is always hope that we will see more interesting games in earlier hours.

Re: Olympic Games 2016
Depends on which time zone you're in. I believe most of the European audience will not be staying up until 4, when the last game ends - or get up at 2.30 in the morning for that matter. But at least the Olympics are in August, so many people will be on holiday.
The starting times for the matches could have well been at 9.30, 11.30, 14.00, 16.00, 18.00 and 20.00 local time. I don't see a point in scheduling a match for 21.30 or so.

This is because each ticket entitles you to a session with two games.
So after every two games is needed more time to evacuate the Arena, make the needed maintenances and allow the next session people enter in time.

Re: Olympic Games 2016
Sounds exciting, but I'd prefer to get some sleep while on holiday.
And in August in Podgorica, you can hardly sleep after 9 a.m.
Btw, most pubs here close at 1 a.m. in summer.
