Győri Audi ETO - Brest Bretagne Handball 26:17

Chaotic play on both sides. ETO tried the 7 against 6 play. It wasn't pretty. AM should ask Herbert Müller to put together a Howto for him about this or forget it for good.

I hope this was the last 'all inclusive' wild card for Brest, if they want to compete in the CL next year they should win the championship or get a wild card for a tournament like everybody else. And yes they got a difficult group, but that can't be an excuse: because if a team gets such a 'straight trough' wildcard one should really expect some special kind of performance - or at least third place!
idle banter.

I agree. Thuringer should have been the beneficiary team, not Brest.

I am not quite sure about that. :-k I think Höör should have gotten it. Not because I believe that they would've done much better in the CL, but because they won the Swedish championship after all and should have been rewarded for that.
idle banter.

I tend to agree with this. Höör was very unlucky in that the qualification tournament was hosted by THC. I don't mind THC since I like them :D, but it was unfair to Höör.

Höör deserved it, not the anti-talents from Poland. The Swedes are doing a great job for years, now with Höör and previously with Savehof.

You can switch Hoor to Gdynia (both champions) and THC to Brest (both non-champions). ;)
Even if THC is not so strong now, they would have deserved this based on their previous seasons.

Brest deserved an invitation for the QT, but nothing more. Why give them a wildcard? On what base? They were 3rd in France last season. ;)
