The second half sounds bad at first without knowing the context, but the game was already halted in the 39 minute (19-21) because of condensation leaking onto the playing field. Both teams then used just one half of the field alternating between defence and attack (How can you even continue to keep a regular score under such awkward circumstances? ). Something which seemingly suited Metz a lot better.
