This virus has put on the table the expensiveness of the handball today. European federation has to bring more money to the clubs. The handball wages are insanely high respect to the revenues of the clubs. Only thanks to big companies or local government(România case) The handball îs alive. Today TV rights are fundamental în every sport. Unless Ehf doesnt share more money with clubs, handball may fall. Samsonenko he was right about the revenues.

FRH s chief president Alexandru Dedu said if clubs handball teams are not going to prepare themselves inside halls 2 weeks or at least 10 days , the begining in August of RO NHL is in danger (not to begin) ...
Many RO teams prepare on mountains cantonments training but without prepare matches against other teams as it was plannned previously. Many feared to have Dinamo s football players fate ( 18 from 21 players COVID positives,and now Dinamo has to play only juniors or 0-3 scores without play ,the last each 4 matches )...
Some said (in football especially) that only competition CANTONMENTS should be the solution to avoid these situations.

The German (womens) Bundesliga confirmed the start of the season on the 5th of September (*). The maximum amount of spectators allowed will vary from one federal state to another. But it's unlikely to be any more than a few hundred.

* Interestingly enough: that's before any other sports league in Germany starts again - even mens football and handball.

Based on figures from the Divisional Association in Handball, DIF writes that the men's best league can miss out on 182 million kroner in revenue. For the women's league, the figure is 112 million kroner.

I don't quite know how they got too such a high estimate. Surely 112 million for the womens league alone might be a slight exaggeration. That would be over 15 million € !

But I guess they want to set the bar high, because in Germany all the sports clubs combined also demanded 1 billion € initially...now they had to settle for 'only' 200 million € and not one of them has complained yet.

Yeah I don't know, but my guess is that included in those figures are also sponsorships that could likely be terminated if the sponsors can't go to games. Idk
and as you alluded to, no one in their right mind would enter a negotiation with a low estimate

Handball is in most part a decent sport in terms of spending.
But when looking at other sports I find exaggerated that football clubs are even in this situation talking about 70 -100 million euro or more for a player transfer.
And the football players wages are also way too big. I mean 10-15-20-25 million a year for what ?

Haslum and Arendal retired from eurocompetition...if the examples will be follow by Vipers ,Molde,Tertnes...the eurocompetition will be burried at least until 2021/2022.

Ok, I got it, testing players regularly will be essential when it comes to having a 'more normal' season. And if that's what it takes I approve of it. But when I read stuff like this...

Eredivisie handball is not allowed to play. All adult transports are prohibited with the exception of male football. The match from SEW- gran canaria probably will not be played. A small chance it will be changed, because of protests against that only male football is allowed, but I'm afraid it comes too late for SEW
