2020/21 European Handball League
https://kbhbold.dk/silkeborg-voel-og-ko ... 2020-2021/
København says no to competing in the European Cup next season and Silkeborg-Voel also won't ask for a wildcard - which they were eligible to - citing the uncertain future and the increase of requirements by the EHF for next season (LED-ads, special floor and a three cameras live stream production).

At least Minaur Baia Mare will have more chances to win EHL.
PS. You should correct topic's name... It's "European Handball League".

Or Siofok, Bosko.
"Right to apply for an upgrade
The National Federations ranked 1 to 30 of the EHF place distribution, except the National Federation ranked number one (1) of the EHF European League Seeding List 2020/21 (Denmark), have the right to apply for one (1) upgrade for a maximum of one (1) team. The eligibility for the 2020/21 EHF club competition must be given."
You can read here: http://cms.eurohandball.com/ResourceIma ... aid=102479
Hungary Federation badly want FTC in EHF Delo CL, so bye bye Siofok again.
So it's official now:
- Siofok KC to European Handball League group stage (former EHF Cup)
- Odense HC to Champions League group stage

Looks like the EHF has postponed the draw until 1. September?
Guess they figured out that this Corona thing won't just magically go away in a few days...

Re: 2020/21 European Handball League
George Caranica ,the president of Braila handball club, stated that he will make a proposal to Tertnes Bergen Staff to play both matches in Braila...does anyone know which was the Tertnes answer to this
(...if the proposal really was made ?...)
First leg has to be on 10 or 11 october in Braila... Braila s Hall has 2000 seats.
The local article is from 30 july...

That wouldn't help Tertnes much? https://www.fhi.no/nyheter/2020/endring ... htenstein/
After they come back to Norway, they would have to go into quarantine. Something they would surely want to avoid.

Indeed, so it makes no difference.
See:

See:
Two matches of the EHF European League Men Qualification round 1 matches have been cancelled after the current Covid-19 restrictions made the participation of two Norwegian clubs, Haslum HK and OIF Arendal not feasible.

- The Swedish Foreign Ministry does not allow Russian citizens to enter Sweden. According to EHF's rules, and you can think what you want about their rules, we become a "guilty team" because we stop Kuban from entering. Therefore, we must leave wo

It's kind of funny. Is there a difference between a virus of Russian origin or e.g. Danish/German/Hungarian origin? This is what the Ministry basically tells.

Off topic alert.
Yes, there is. Generally: where the epidemiological situation is more critical (wider spread with more infected persons), there are more virulent mutations of the virus developed and present. This is basics of evolutional parasitology. (That's why virulence and lethality increase with the increasing number of infections.)

Swiss LC Brühl has also given up on the matches against Fehervar. So the latter goes to the next round without a fight.

Tertnes Bergen - Brăila 26-25 (11-13)
Braila lead 2-3-5 goals but on 19 min Bergen equalize and then after 3 min take the lead and finally won the match. Before 10-12 sec Bergen manage to score the goal of qualification but Braila desperate throw in atack and luckily scored by Milic (2-3 seconds in the end) so Braila go further. Seems to me that Nenezic and Serban did better then norvegian GKs...

The two games of Westfriesland SEW vs Rocasa Gran Canaria are canceled/postponed:
Since the press conference of the Dutch government, the European adventure for West Frisia SEW has been hanging by a thread. Due to the tightened measures, sports at amateur level have been temporarily suspended.
Despite the fact that our Spanish guests are professionals, unfortunately that should not result in an exception. We switched with all the might with various parties such as the EHF, the NHV and NOC * NSF, but unfortunately the European adventure ends three days before it was due to start ...
At the moment there is still consultation with the EHF whether the matches can be moved, but the chance of this is nil.
