OMG, I can't believe Pavel Sukosian is still playing  He's bold and so fat

In the second leg, Resita is leading 25-19 45min., after losing 30-24 against Kaustik Volgograd. It could be another "Omer-miracle".

   UCM Resita - Kaustik Volgograd 33:23 (17:14)

Resita qualifies, 57:53.

Skjern Håndbold - BM Aragón

I'm glad to see that Skjern has gone this far. Going a little off-topic now, but can anyone tell how Patte Westerholm has been doing after his long injury?

You mean World Championship ;)
In handball they don't call the World Championship for the World Cup unlike in football. In hanball the World Cup is instead just a traning tournament held in Sweden+Germany for the men and now also for the women in Denmark.
Quite confusing that they name a traning torunament the World Cup because it leads people to confusion, thiking it´s actually the World Chmpionship and not just some traning torunament without any real importance.

Lars Møller Madsen played phenomenal in the start of the bronze final but got broke a bone in his foot very early in the match when he landed wrong on his foot in the 6 m field after scoring a break through goal. On the replay it looked harmless but he wasn´t able to play anymore in the bronze final which was an extra hard blow for the Danish team beacuse the other left back Lasse Boesen got injured in ther semi-final and wasn´t able to play in the bronze final either. But Denmark managed to beat France anyway.

Thanks a lot for the information. Mostly I just wanted to know if he is in good form now that he is through playing for our national team. Anyway, he is right now probably our most successful player (if you don't count Katja Nyberg, of course ;) ) but we rarely get to see him play these days :( It's good to hear he is doing fine now, although he probably won't return to Finland as a player.

Šola is done for the season, everyone else is o.k. for now..
this is a young team and they have a lot of ups and downs during the game, if they can control that and if they can keep their composure during the whole 60 minutes then it will be very interesting..
otherwise Ademar won't have much problems..

How about Kaupo Palmar, he's Estonian, but to my untranied ear his name sounds Finnish. Is there a big Finnish speaking population in your neighbour country Estonia? Does Kaupo Palmar has any realtions to Finland?
When Kaupo Palmar played for IFK Ystad in the Swedish league he married a Swedish girl and got a Swedish citizenship. But as far as I can tell he kept his Estonian citizenship too and still plays for the Estonian NT.

Actually I think he is totally Estonian. The two languages probably do sound very similar to an untrained ear, but they are further away from each other than for example Scandinavian languages. I can't understand spoken Estonian at all. Kaupo is not a Finnish name. In Finnish we could have, for example Kauko, but Kaupo just sounds weird.
Estonian sounds to me a little bit like shortened version of Finnish, where familiar words get a meaning that's not quite right. I can't seem to be getting an example in my head right now, unfortunately.

Sarajevo 20 Hamburgo 18

The atmosphere of the sports hall was incredible and public was sensational. But the goalkepeer of Sarajevo, Tahirovic, was the heroe, he turned his goal in a wall in that players of Hamburgo crashed again and again. Only Hens and Yoon saw the goal... Referees helped too... At the end, players of Sarajevo celebrated the victory as if they had won the competition... Hamburgo will crush them in the second leg, but I think that with this victory they can be very satisfied about his participation in the tournament.
