And Picek dare to speak about wrong attitude

What happen in Turkey has nothing to do with the real quality of our players.

Long story but will not waste my time to explain for you.

Since you receive ban in all other forums because of your attitude, mystery that no one has ban you yet here.

Hej!

Can you explain me correctly, how will the draw made?

We have 7 group winners from this qualifying round, and the 11 worst team from the EC (16 minus Sweden - host nation, France - prev. champ., and the 3 best ranked on the EC).

As i know, the draw takes place in Vienna, at the end of January. Will there be 9 seeded teams and 9 unseeded? Or there will be only one pot and throw all the teams there, and get a random draw? (Would be unfair. Lithuania vs Suisse and Czech Rep vs Norway for example...) And if theres a seeding system, how do they count it? On what based it? Their recent major tournament results, their world ranking place, or what?

Thanks for the answers :)

How can a random draw can be called unfair? ;)

Normally EHF will make two pots, maybe three.

One pot will contain qualifiers (7 teams), one pot will contain main round teams (8 teams without top 3 and without france) - The only open question is how EHF will handle the teams that fail in the preliminaries. Will they make a draw which team goes into the pot of the best seeded (like they did in 2008 with Belarus/Denmark) or will they make a placement decision.

Cant really be called unfair but, honestly, with no disrespect intended for the smaller teams, would u really want to see teams like croatia, germany, norway, iceland, poland, denmark, spain ect face eachother in qualafying stage and a team like Lithuania or Swiss take there place in the finals?
That way u could have the some of the biggest matches take place before the finals and end up having a bunch of predictable games in the finals(atleast more predictable then usual)

Well, it can be assumed that it will look this:

Pot 1: Croatia, Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Russia, Poland, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Czech Rep. (France is title holder - top 3 will be removed)

Pot 2: Switzerland, Romania, Slovakia, Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, Lithuania

According to the EHF statutes the ranks at ECh will be

13. Serbia
14. Hungary
15. Sweden (WCh-host)
16. Ukraine

Whether EHF will put Serbia into pot 1 or the will make a draw between this three teams like they did in 2008 between Denmark and Belarus, which team goes into which pot.

Results of the draw:

Austria - Netherlands
Norway - Lithuania
Slovenia - Hungary
Germany - Greece
Slovakia - Ukraine
Serbia - Czech Republic
Romania - Russia
Denmark - Switzerland
Portugal - Spain

Norway, Denmark, Germany, Spain and Austria should qualify. The other games are hard to tell. Even Romania could have a real chance against Russia.

Good draw for Hungary. From the opponents in Pot 1, I would have chosen Slovenia.
Top 3 most interesting battles: 1.CZE-SRB, 2.HUN-SLO, 3.SVK-UKR. ROM-RUS is also nice.

But first of all: we have to get Nagy Laci back. Without him, or defense is useless.

I am also satisfied with Russia, we won against them at the World Champs. But here it will be another story. Anyway, I am pretty sure this will be close... Because Romania isn't just HCM like Russia is just Cekhovski or almost!

Russia is our traditional opponent from the past... 8:)

Asian Handball Championship, Beirut - Semifinals - 17.02.2010:

Saudi Arabia - Bahrein
South Korea - Japan

Top 3 teams will qualify for the WCh 2011 in Sweden.

Maybe our Korean friends can tell us a few words about the tournament, if they have any infos.

As there is no TV broadcast in Korea, I just could watch 3 games on Justin TV and read reports from articles.

It's a very unique(?) tournament without the 'tyrant' Kuwait (which is banned by IHF), and without officiating problems either - so far.
Traditional pro-Kuwaiti teams like Iran and Qatar are eliminated, and traditional anti-Kuwaiti teams like Japan and Bahrain reached the semi-final.
Very unique but maybe very normal results.

Hi

I watched the whole tournament, Korea is the best team by far but the other teams are in the same level. Lebanon had 3 naturalized players and Qatar had 7 !!! the referees are very bad (including the Slovenian referees) but at least they are not biased !

Saudi and Bahrain are the luckiest and Bahrain qualified to Sweden as the first Asian team with a fantastic goal in the last second some minutes ago. Korea-Japan match will start soon and I hope both Japan and Korea qualify because they are not playing dirty .

and unfortunately my national team (Iran) was a disaster this tournament. Injuries, bad preparation, bad coaching and etc. I tought we will play in Final with Korea but ... ](*,) ](*,)

are you kidding ?? Iran is a pro-Kuwaiti team ??????? when ?? where ?? Kuwait and Qatar hurt us a lot with their usual officiating problems. did you watch 2009 Asian Youth and Junior Championship ???? did you ever watch Asian Club Champs ??

in 2008, Kuwait lost to Iran on purpose to eliminate Bahrain but what is the fault of Iran ??? Iranian team played fair.

Saudi and Qatar are pro-Kuwaiti teams and if you play with these 3 teams with Arab referees. you will lose no matter who you are. this is a fact in the corrupt Asian Handball.
