A number of the WCh players in AGK, Mikkel Hansen, Niclas Ekberg and René Toft Hansen got a day off when AGK played a Danish cup match against the 4th league team KFUM København Håndbold.
Jacob Bagersted played though, as he only got to play a few minutes at the WCh when he was finally included in the team and before he was replaced by Michael V. Knudsen. Norway's keeper Steinar Ege also played the 2nd half, after his keeper colleague Kasper Hvidt scored a goal in the 1st half.

But Mikkel Hansen, Niclas Ekberg and René Toft Hansen were all fully occupied during the half time break signing autographs.

AGK - KFUM København Håndbold 40-11 (22-5)

AGK topcorer: Thomas Bruhn 10.

Free tickets to Skjern vs. AGK for everyone named Jesper Nielsen

Skjern has decided to offer free tickets for Skjern vs. AGK to everyone named Jesper Nielsen.
So now AGK's Jesper "Kasi" Nielsen can get a free ticket.
There's 1907 Danes named Jesper Nielsen in 2011 according to Denmark's Statittics: http://www.dst.dk/Statistik/Navne/HvorMange.aspx

Because of the great spectator interest the match has been moved from Skjern Arena to a bigger arena at MCH (Messecenter Herning) which can hold 5000 spectators.

Speaking of free tickets, in Århus everyone can get their hands on a limited number of free tickets for all Århus Håndbold's home matches from one of their sponsors SuperBest, if they pick them up before they are all handed out. You just have to walk into one of the 8 SuperBest supermakets located in the greater Århus area and ask for the tickets in a week leading up to a home match. There's a limited number of free tickets handed out each week in each of the 8 supermarkets, so don't wait too long.

Det drejer sig om butikkerne i Harlev, Rønde, Hasselager, Viby, Skødstrup, Langenæs, Risskov og på Vesterbro Torv. Butikkerne vil have billetterne klar i ugen op til den næste kamp.

AGK having fun with Kolding, from time to time it looks like they play with 50% capacity and still they have 8 goals lead.

Love the new AGK jersey. Looks like basketball jersey and it looks cool. Nice modern thinking by Kasper.

Looks like Boldsen on the picture.

AGK have been playing with the sleeveless "basketball jersey" all season.
It also gives the opponents less to grab hold of when they want to stop the pivot etc.

Sorry, wrong link, fixed now.

Do you remember the championships where the Swedish NT (once back in the Bengan Boys era) played with those weired super tight jerseys that were super elastic? It made it very hard for the opponents to grab hold of their jersey, and once they did it stretched to twice the size so it was very obvious for the referee whenever an opponents grabbed their jersey.
Actually a very smart idea, but I only think the Bengang Boys played with this stange jersey at one Championship, probably only because of vanity, since it looked stupid with those super tight super bright yellow jerseys.
I forgot at which championship they used those, but I'm pretty sure I remember Staffan Olsson in one of those jerseys. Do you remeber when they played in those and/or have any pictures of them?

Think it wos in Italy back in 1998. I have problems to faind any picture but will try.

Anyway Stefan Lövgren did explaine our dominance with Russia between 1990 until 2000. Poor competition only Russia and Sweden wos good. Today we have 10 good teams. Stefan told in the sofa that he believes that benga boys will lose against Swedish generation 2011th.

I agree smart move by AGK, they will have use of it againt teams such as Kiel, Barca,Montpellier,Hamburg,Veszprem, etc..

The basketball style jerseys gives the female spectators a bit more to look at.

Female handball teams should play in tights just like volleyball teams does. Holland's handball NT used to do it and Brazil has done it too. Most likely because Brazil and Holland are big volleyball nations, so they are used to girls playing in tights.
The international volleyball federation has actually introduced "Dress code rules" about how long the legs in the female tights and male shorts are allowed to be.

Do you know why Sweden only played with those body tight shirts at one championship? I think it's just because it looked stupid, because in many ways it made sense, because it made it very hard to grab their shirt and when they did it was easy to see. Or maybe IHF decided to ban them?
At this WCh in Sweden, a lot of players in Adidas (e.g. from Sweden and France) played with some new shirts with body tight sleeves. Not all players used the very tight sleeved Adidas shirts, but some did, like Karabatic IIRC.

Adidas owns Nikola Karabatic. He signed 5 years contract 1.5 milion euros....

No idea, may be because it looked stupid. I have no idea why they started it or why they stopped doing it.

In this video from the 1998 ECh in Italy, Sweden played with regular "loose fit" Nike jerseys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LPYDqth4NU

But I'm actually not sure they played the a whole Championship with those tight jerseys.
But I haven't been able to find any pictures or video of it, it was before YouTube was introduced.

I am pretty sure, that it was on Swedish home soil they used these tight jerseys.

Actually it was not even a jersey, but some kind of "bodystocking"
But the players refused to play in that outfit only, so they put on their regular shorts as well :)

I read an interview with Magnus Andersson where he explained about this bodystocking issue.
He absolutely didn´t enjoy this "happening".
Quote Magnus : how much fun was that ? with my thin arms and legs ! :D

(maybe you should be able to find this interview somewhere ? )

You have to remember that the mid-defence are injured in Kolding - Lars Krogh Jeppesen and Anders Oeschler.
In comparison it would be the same if the Swedish NT missed Jernemyr and Karlsson at the same time !

Trust me, when we get to the play-offs Kolding wont back down so easily.
