8111 spectators followed the Slovak victory against Montenegro in EURO 2012 men's final qualifier. That's a record of the record in Slovak handball era Match was played in Steel Arena in Košice, in the same hall where ice hockey WCh 2011 took place.

How`s the younger generations in Slovakia, some exciting players coming up?

We completely s*ck in youth handball both male and female, interest in handball among the kids tending to zero, coaching style mostly is out of date. Currently, we hope for just little exception of last written by Grosswallstadt coach Peter David, who became head coach of Slovak men's junior NT in the late of May.
Also, there are some youth clubs making it bit better, f.e. girls bases in Michalovce, Bytča, Nitra and Šurany (first is the school of current Slovak champion, second a new club with big ambitions, last two are former famous centres of our national women's handball). From these clubs comes bulk of the current U17 team, which is ready for EURO in Czech Republic. By boys I don't know which town to list...maybe youth from Prešov and Považská Bystrica is worth mentioning.
