Re: 2015 Summer preseason club tournaments and friendlies
@masch - The KFUM Elite Cup formula is not really fair for all the teams. Esbjerg lost only one match against CPH, ending their chance to finish in the top 2. CPH and Odense lost against TTH but they still had the chance to play for the 2nd place...
Besides, don't forget that Esbjerg won the Blue Vipers Cup after beating Larvik and Vipers Kristiansand
Fleury - Vardar: 34-28

Of course, I know that. Besides Silkeborg was awful last summer and look how their season went. I just expected Esbjerg to be more convincing, they don't have as many new players as many other teams.

Thüringer's injury list is a long one: Jana Krause, Sonja Frey, Beate Scheffknecht, Meike Schmelzer, Eliza Buceschi and Iveta Luzumova.
In ETO Nycke Groot suffered a foot/ankle injury yesterday which will keep her out of play for at least 2 weeks, Eduarda Amorim was rested and Anita Görbicz started throwing balls in all directions of the compass rose last week. Görbe will join the team soonish.
Statistik:
Thüringer HC: Dinah Eckerle, Lucie Satrapova; Natalia Reshetnikova (3), Anouk van de Wiel (1), Josephine Kessler, Linda Bach, Danick Snelder (2), Katrin Engel (2/1), Lotte Prak (3/2), Marieke Blase (5), Lydia Jakubisova (1), Svenja Huber (2), Kerstin Wohlbold (1).

Hm, looking at Copenhagens teamroster, neither Anne Mette Hansen or Anne Mette Pedersen played but they don't write why

On the periscope recording of the match I can see they played with Mai Kragballe on the right wing (a junior player and backplayer, as far as I know not usually a wing). I hope Anne Mette Pedersen is not seriously injured again but that they are just having to spare her with this many matches in few days.

FCM without Burgaard, Veronica only playing defense. Clearly FCM is still playing summer handball and Esbjerg is not

Re: 2015 Summer preseason club tournaments and friendlies
This year's Bucharest Trophy was fantastic
Every single team brought something special to the table. I was particularly impressed with the Romanian teams & players. It was overwhelming to see them perform against the big names of women's handball and prove they can achieve something internationally
.
The individual performances
Cristina Zamfir - she finished top scorer, played almost 60 min per game, making no mistakes. After this, Ryde has the LB position solved and sealed Neagu-Zamfir-Perianu.
Gabriela Perianu - making a great impact on both phases, she's back in the game after a not so great season, 1st choice in front of Abbingh, deservingly.
Ekaterina Ilina - Lekic who? This girl was so fun to watch, with such speed and precision
Andreea Pricopi - she's 20 now, efficient, has assists, breakthroughs and canon shots. She's grown a lot.
Line Jorgensen - she was exceptionally good, outshining Bulatovic, her shooting was precise and her defense clean.
Ionica Munteanu - a goalkeeper who's often overlooked, she closed the net against Buducnost
No need to comment on the usual suspects Neagu, Penezic, Varzaru ...
The teams
Corona Brasov
went head to head with Vardar and Baia Mare, their weakness is the RB position, their strength lies in Cristina Zamfir and the wingers
Baia Mare
this team is much better than last year's provided Pineau and Georgievska stay on the bench
, the players understand each other and their coach, they do have however 3-4 surplus recruits. I'm positive they'll qualify for ChL.
Rostov Don
Lunde didn't look ready. The new players were a tad more inefficent than the others. I don't see them causing major upsets in ChL
Vardar
An ever-repeating story... Vardar has the potential to win the cup, except most of the players don't give a sh.t.
Buducnost
I don't see them as favourites because of the goalkeeper factor, darn important in the end. Other than that, it was the usual "jaded" Buducnost we see in every pre-season. Let me say that Neagu was very keen to win the final and showed it repeatedly.
Bucuresti
Nice vibe around the team. Ok, they won, but to tell you the truth, they aren't half the TEAM Baia Mare already is. There are good things to build on: fast danish-style passing, counter-attack material, a goalkeeper with a sparkle, strong defenders. It's all in Mette Klit's hands now.
I missed handball
Vive la rentrée!

Re: 2015 Summer preseason club tournaments and friendlies
we already have a thread Anicia topic5424.html.
anyway, let`s see how I saw the things:
- Pricopi is not ready for the NT, she has weaknesses in terms of defence and probably also pressure
- Ilina is a solid player but far from world class; Rostov this season are not a serious team when they only count on her
- Cristina Zamfir didn`t prove it to me, but I will take a look on her better; in my opinion we already have better left backs such as Neagu, Buceschi, Perianu, Constantinescu, Bazaliu, even Cartaș
- Line Joergensen, you are funny because the majority was making fun of her when I said she will be the best right back in the world or at least second best after Kaca
- Perianu: impressive
- about Ionica Munteanu, I was not right; she deserves her current place, solid
Baia Mare: unpredictable team; Roșca a very good coach, respect
Rostov: I also don`t see them causing major upsets but who knows, maybe one is possible even though no Final 4 for them
Vardar: no, Vardar doesn`t have the potential to win the cup, especially NOW; not even with the best coach in the world...
Buducnost: they just started the preparations, CSM are more advanced
Bucharest: is already having cool chemistry
Corona: improved but I still I don`t trust Burcea
PS. the quality of the Romanian players is improving.
